Whether you are looking for a retirement home, the perfect camping cabin or lake front oasis, there are two things to consider before you purchase your cabin. This cabin combines two or more of our other cabins to create the desired living space and accommodate the needs of larger family’s or friends. Country Cabin

Pressure treatment is a process that forces chemical preservatives into the wood to extend their normal lifespan and protect from rot or insect damage. Wood is placed inside a closed container, then vacuum and pressure are applied to force the preservatives into the wood. The preservatives help protect the wood from attack by termites, other insects, and fungal decay. Discolorations and compositions in wood as a result of branches growing from the tree.
The Ten Commandments also hangs on walls in Amish homes. Amish homes are built with spacious main rooms, suitable for large gatherings. Some Amish hold church within a room of the home, or often the basement, and so must be able to fit up to one hundred or more people. Large expansive rooms also allow for better lighting. Grades are determined by the size and frequency of knots. The fewer knots in a board, the better the grade and the more expensive it is. 3 extra rows of D-Log wall results in a 12/12 pitched roof & two lofts. I know some Clymer Amish, around Sherman, NY. I don’t know if its this Order, or all Amish, but they always hang just one curtain in the windows, and pull it to one side.

This cabin is designed with a “Reverse Gable Design” to allow for a vaulted ceiling area to increase the volume of the living space in your desired location. The Whitetail is designed around pure living space; nothing unnecessary. This is accomplished by coming equipped with a spacious living area separated only by walls to the bathroom and bedroom. One of the more popular modular, the Moose combines the aspects of other modular and floor plans into one. It does this by coming fit with a covered porch located on the “Gable” or short end of the structure. Allows a log to absorb heat during the hottest part of the day and return it to the house during the cooler night, without transferring it through the wall.

To be on the safe side, always verify with your local zoning and building department that your plans meet their requirements. Sometimes you might have to think out of the box like this farmer. I see in most Amish houses around where I live in Mid Michigan,they all have elevated porches with nothing under them. I was curious if they do that for a special reason.
